DIAITA: Food & Heritage is an interdisciplinary scientific journal, anchored in the field of Cultural Studies on Food as an expression of Heritage and in the relationship that Food establishes with cultural and natural dimensions structuring the ‘way of life’ (in Greek díaita) of individuals and communities throughout History.
The journal welcomes approaches that bring together the Human and Social Sciences to study the role of food (1) in the written and iconographic expression (languages, literatures, arts, religions), (2) in the gastronomic cultures, (3) in human activities of production, distribution and consumption, (4) in behaviours that promote healthy living, (5) in the relationship of food with the environment, and (6) in the economic and political systems. Articles of an interdisciplinary or monodisciplinary nature are accepted in the fields of Literary and Linguistic Studies, History and Archaeology, Anthropology and Sociology, Arts, Communication, Gastronomy and Tourism, Economics and Politics. e-ISSN 2976-0232
