The Journal of Ethnology is a continuation of a professional journal that was published under the name Ethnological News between 1964 and 1989. With a new graphic design and diversity of content, the former editors
tried to make contemporary ethnological research more popular, and thus
to increase their readership. Gradually, however, the journal again set
itself up as a professional periodical, focused on ethnological (and
related interdisciplinary) issues in social and historical contexts. e-ISSN 2570-9437
