SCAJ was founded in the spring of 2019 by a group of students of the Bachelor's program of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Utrecht University. SCAJ is a Utrecht-based journal, made by students for students (and anyone else interested in reading it, of course). We publish work written for anthropology courses offered by Utrecht University and University College Utrecht in our biannual editions. Students are involved in every step of the process, from paper submissions, selection, to publication. SCAJ therefore reflects the efforts of anthropology students in Utrecht through and through.
